The Safari Lounge opened in 2013 and since then we have been committed every day to offering great and friendly service accompanied by super imaginative food that comes from all over the world.
Our idea is a fusion cuisine that unites all cultures in something pleasant and good for your palate. All this in a very special place that you will not find very easily around. Our place is open for everybody: we have a large choice of vegetarian food and gluten free, people that looking for some special plates and dogs are welcomed as well.
Situated in the tropical surroundings of Abbeyhill, Edinburgh, all The Safari Lounge staff are ready to welcome you.

Superb tacos. Just had the beef shin and oxtail tacos today, had the fish ones too. Fish bites and fries are amazing, lovely little orange zest mayo along side. Absolutely delicious! Great bar staff, nice draft lagers. My usual once a month meal to myself on my route home.

Nipped in for dinner with my parents who were visiting me. The staff are lovely and managed to fit us in for food even though it was quite busy. We were blown away by everything we ordered, the flavour combinations were delicious! Would highly recommend!

A very nice place with an African theme where you can have a wide variety of beers and other drinks. The waitresses are very nice and Cheff Elías is very good, he left the kitchen to say goodbye to us and thank us, very nice detail, a hundred place per hundred recommended.

Great bar! Lovely lovely staff, beer and food… warm, welcoming & quirky … run by lovely folk who genuinely enjoy to be there! Already booked our next visit, 5 stars all the way! xx

Excellent little gem, food was fantastic with a good selection of vegetarian options which weren't run of the mill. Cocktails were crummy and reasonably priced. Excellent find and would highly recommend.
